Well, we’ve got another mouth to feed. Everybody, this is Iggy. Isn’t he adorable?
They told us he was a lab mix, but by the way he eats, I’m almost positive he’s Lebanese. Leb mix?
He’s as sweet as he is cute and he’s eager to please. Although he’s not perfect, who really is?
Okay, so this is where Eric would insert the argument that his dog, Neely is pup perfection. Neely stayed with Eric’s dad when we bought the house since my father-in-law is retired and could be Neely’s full time friend. Obviously, Eric misses her like crazy and rightfully so. She’s the most gentle and loving dog an owner could ask for. She’s also the sleepiest, which means low maintenance. What’s not to love about that?
Since I’ve never had a dog before, I have no baseline of comparison. So, since he’s the only one – Iggy’s the worst dog I’ve ever had…and the best.
Oh – and Iggy loves him some Eric. Loads of lovin’. More on Iggy’s part than Eric’s, but love nonetheless.
Thanks to Last Hope K9 Rescue for introducing us to this little guy – we’re honored to be his “furever” family. I’m starting to wonder who rescued who in this situation 🙂
For those of you wondering where the name Iggy came from, his namesake is Jarome “Iggy” Iginla – of the Boston Bruins. With a husband like mine – it had to be a hockey reference. #manlyname
